Rest Energy's new tableware series, Bottom of the Bucket, features handmade porcelain plates and a small serving tray, each cast from the textured bottoms of mixing buckets and trash cans in our LA studio.
The series reflects the act of scrapping the bottom of the bucket-- capturing the raw, desperate essence of using every last bit of what you have. By transforming objects that typically hold waste into vehicles for nourishment, we, as a studio, again embrace tension and new ideas through contrast and opposition.
