El mar is a series of mirrors that mimic this dance of light on water through the shapes themselves, but also through the actual fluctuations of light within the space around it, creating an immersive moment within an urban environment.

These mirrors are made from stainless steel and coated with reflective chrome/bras/copper. Each piece is unique and carefully crafted by hand intuitively into its shape using heat. Reflections are distorted by the curvature of the shapes, just like the water of the ocean.

Pepe Valenti is a Barcelona-born artist known for his sculptural and installation works, currently based in the Netherlands. He studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven and has built a name for himself in the intersection between art and collectible design. His work is known for its meticulous craftsmanship and a hands-on approach that emphasizes the relationship between materiality and aesthetics. Valenti often experiments with natural materials in an intuitive way, creating refined pieces that balance raw inspiration with polished finishes, such as his notable work El Mar Installation.
