Juntos Projects presents “Hard Wood,” a collection inspired by the provenance of raw materials, where works are set in an immersive environment that evokes an abstract coastal landscape and mirrors the shifting sands of the Biscayne Bay.
Hardwood serves as the primary material for both the pieces and the installation. A trio of colorful stools and a bench feature angled and curved surfaces designed to complement the body. Each piece rests gently atop a landscape of sawdust collected from the wood shop where they were crafted, while mirrored panels overhead multiply the works within the space.
The Arc bench features soft valleys and peaks that create an elongated profile, with striking chevron legs for added stability. The Arc stool abbreviates the form with a carefully designed curve, offering a comfortable surface for resting. Color enhances the natural beauty of the wood through meticulously calibrated stains that create a vibrant watercolor effect, allowing the grain to shine through. Each piece in the collection articulates a clear visual vocabulary that welcomes collective enjoyment.
