High - tech reflections

by TOKIO.

The Mori bookshelf, named after the Japanese word for forest, draws inspiration from the serene and almost pattern-like presence of trees. Its design harmonises the natural beauty of exposed carbon fibre (legs) with the clean lines and functionality of the metal shelves that modern living spaces demand. The bookshelf is a celebration of minimalism, calmness and style, but now with a fully reflective twist.
There are no standard models, every piece is tailor-made and unique. Mori is more than just a piece of furniture; it's a reflection of our inspiration from Japan, where art and things like katanas, origami, haiku … last forever.
Installation will also feature Carbon Light with its carbon fibre structure making the pendant lamp extremely light and again holding the vision of Tokio.: timelessness. Finished in reflective high glossy chrome to subtly reflect its surroundings.
Mori and Carbon Light both share another thing: modularity in design. There are no limits to what can be created with these Tokio. systems: a small intimate corner for your memories or a vast centrepiece for all to admire … and everything in between.

Tokio. products are designed with Japanese inspired refinement, simplicity, detail and high-end technology, then made with the precision of skilled craftsmen. All these considerations ensure the timeless look and are the first choice of business, academic, scientific and artistic professionals alike.

Founded in 2011 by Gorazd Malačič, Tokio. is not concerned with making populist design objects, rather prides itself on being a contemporary ultimate design output. The result is a futuristic take on smart home objects that are seen as of the moment in today’s contemporary design landscape and sit easily even with styles of eras gone by.
