A design collection beyond functionality explores perceptions of time and its fluid essence. Each piece reinterprets memory as an artistic expression through materials born from experimentation, offering an immersive experience in the duality of ancient and modern, sacred and secular.
The installation also embodies Leo Lague's commitment to transcending design conventions, creating objects at the boundary between function and sculptural art. "Silver Dreams" invites viewers on a sensory journey where imagination materializes, prompting a shift in the relationship between object and space, material and the intangible.
With reflective surfaces such as silver leaves, the pieces presented at Alcova Miami serve as an invitation to self-observation — how we project ourselves to the world around us and the distorted perceptions between societal expectations and the inner self.
Leo Lague is a young designer from South Brazil who grew up during a time marked by the shift from analog to digital — a transition that shaped his unique worldview. Influenced early on by his family’s artistic background, Lague engaged in scenography and experimental projects in Porto Alegre. He found his primary form of expression in furniture design, creating works that explore intersections between history, mythology, and science. His pieces blend the artisanal with the industrial, and the contemporary with the traditional, evoking a suspended sense of time.
