Zealand

by STUDIO VICTOR MIKLOS ANDERSEN X STUDIO VILLIAM MIKLOS ANDERSEN

Villiam Miklos Andersen and Victor Miklos Andersen grew up on Asnæs, a rugged headland on Zealand, Denmark, where steep cliffs meet dense forests and open meadows. This unique coastal landscape, shaped by both natural forces and human history, has profoundly influenced their creative practices. Zealand, their collaborative project at Alcova Miami 2024, draws directly from this environment, reflecting the brothers’ exploration of identity, nature, and the future of design.

Victor Miklos Andersen is an eclectic designer and artist known for his experimental approach to materials and technology, working across production, education, and exhibitions. His projects span digital platforms, physical objects, and performances, with notable shows like Laguna Antropica at the Venice Art Biennale (2024) and Bloko in Copenhagen (2023). His collaborations with Antonio Davanzo (Blok 748) and Leo Orta (OrtaMiklos) have shaped his multifaceted practice. Victor's works are featured in the Centre Pompidou's collection. Villiam Miklos Andersen, based between Frankfurt and Føllenslev, examines how modern male-dominated work environments impact personal lives, queering themes of sensitivity, care, and romance. Recent exhibitions include Caffè Crema (Overgaden) and The Pawn Shop (documenta fifteen).
