A Human touch

by Kiki Goti + Office of Tangible Space

“A Human Touch” is an installation by Kiki Goti and Office of Tangible Space that celebrates the dialogue between industry and artistry. By translating historical techniques and references into contemporary design pieces, the two collections—a furniture series by Office of Tangible Space and a vase collection by Kiki Goti— foster a dialogue around the past, present and future of human interaction with craft.

Osvaldo is a collection of furniture pieces inspired by and designed for the gallery at the top of the grand staircase at Villa Borsani. Office of Tangible Space reimagined the space as a reading lounge with displays for Kiki Goti’s “Graces” series of vases. The furniture pieces are a reflection on the material palette, craft, and design ethos of the Villa – and beckon visitors to experience the space in a new way.

Graces is a series of hand-blown glass vases designed by Kiki Goti as a tribute to artisanal craftsmanship and femininity. Crafted in Venice using traditional Murano glassmaking techniques, each vase is envisioned as a female figure adorned with jewelry. The collection captures the dual nature of femininity—both strong and fragile, ethereal and exuberant.

Kiki Goti is a Greek architect, designer, and educator based in New York City. Her creative scope spans furniture, public sculptures, and interior design, where she critically engages with notions of femininity, beauty, and ornamentation, offering innovative interpretations of art historical themes.

Office of Tangible Space is an interdisciplinary design studio grounded in a human-centric ethos founded by Michael Yarinsky and Kelley Perumbeti. They specialize in architecture, interiors, furniture and curation and range in scale from intimate objects to the urban. They have offices in Brooklyn and San Francisco and work internationally.
