PLAITE is a collaboration between CHELEBI (Azerbaijan) and Worn Studio (Spain), conceived by Aida Mahmudova, founder of CHELEBI, and designer Natalia Ortega of Worn Studio. The collection reinterprets the art of weaving—not only as a technique but as a language—where fibers, metals, and glass intertwine to form sculptural objects for the home.

PLAITE unites glass, ceramics, and metal, elegantly bound in leather and natural fibers. Crafted by artisans using ancestral techniques, each piece captures the dialogue between structure and fluidity, heritage and reinvention. Designed exclusively for Alcova, the collection embodies a deep commitment to materiality, craftsmanship and contemporary design.

CHELEBI is a design brand that reinterprets Azerbaijani artistry through contemporary objects rooted in heritage. Founded by artist and cultural patron Aida Mahmudova, the brand brings together local artisans, contemporary designers, and institutions such as the National Azerbaijan National Museum of Art. Through traditional techniques and natural materials, CHELEBI shapes a modern design language grounded in history
