ZAROLAT’s debut at ALCOVA 2025, on the ground floor of Villa Bagatti-Valsecchi, presents a captivating showcase of innovative design and artistry, curated by the gallery’s founder and participating designer, Zeynep Arolat. Launching new originals from the studio, ZAROLAT unveils extraordinary craftsmanship from its roster of multi-disciplinary artists, architects, including Giulia Archimede (Italy), Edoardo Cozzani (Italy), Kamilla Csegzi (Hungary), Defne Önen (Turkey), Lisa Sacco (U.S.), and Arolat (the curator, practicing architect, and designer). At room F4, pieces converge with otherworldly manipulations and compelling explorations of diverse materials - copper, mycelium, grey istria and red marbles, clay, blown glass, onyx, metal mesh - to create new found sculptures, furniture, and lighting. The show provokes questions around the ordinary use of materials to achieve functionality, inviting contemplation on the complexities and harmony found in their combinations, challenging the thresholds of our contemporary art and design canon.

Founded by Zeynep Arolat, a Turkish architect, designer and painter, ZAROLAT is a contemporary reflection and a creative initiative that celebrates the communion of skillful design, architecture, fine art and artisanship. ZAROLAT STUDIO, which shares the gallery space, is an independent architecture studio creating buildings, interiors, and furniture since 2018.
