XC Objects

by PARASITE 2.0 and Bianco67

XC Object is a project born from the collaboration between Parasite 2.0 and Bianco67. It is through the combination of Bianco67’s extensive experience in working with marble, stones, and granite, and Parasite 2.0’s design approach, that the project takes shape.

At its core is the desire to reinterpret waste materials from these processes and integrate them into new value-driven contexts. XC Objects uses stone processing waste as its primary material but places it within a more complex and open ecosystem. By developing a dry-joint system, materials of different types and sizes can be assembled and disassembled, allowing them to return to their original form.

A material that, as waste, has lost its original functional value, retains its intrinsic worth thanks to its interaction with the connection element, opening up new cultural and production possibilities.

Parasite 2.0 is a design and research agency based in Milan. Founded in 2010 by Stefano Colombo, Eugenio Cosentino and Luca Marullo, they investigate the status of human habitats, acting within a hybrid of architecture, design, and scenography.
Parasite 2.0 has worked and collaborated with various cultural organizations and companies and they taught in national and international schools.

Bianco67 was born from the evolution of a family business with over fifty years of experience in marble processing. Founded in the 1960s by the Bernardo family, the company today stands out for its ability to combine technological development with craftsmanship. Bianco67 is a new Italian entity capable of transforming marble into any concept, preserving the intrinsic qualities of this precious natural stone.
