Adrian Cruz Elements

by Adrian Cruz Elements

Mexican architect Adrian Cruz brings to Alcova Miami a profound material and cultural dialogue between Mexico and Italy.
He is exhibiting his latest collaborations with Italian architect Sandro Giulianelli and the new design studio ACCÁ Editions, founded by Mexican interior architect Carmen Arechiga and Adrian Cruz.
Pieces created with Sandro Giulianelli evolve the sculptural form, reflecting a dynamic balance between material weight, color, and volume. Meanwhile, designs developed with Carmen Arechiga amplify the use of crystalline resin, which traps vibrant pigments and sharp contrasts, alongside the use of Mexican onyx. This transforms raw materials into colorful functional sculptures, serving as a vital link between their Pre-Hispanic origins and the Mexicanism design aesthetic.
Each piece is handmade by master artisans between Italy and Mexico, forming a cultural frontier-less dialogue that crosses over the oceans.

Mexican architect Adrián Cruz, graduated from the University of Florence, Italy, creates resin furniture and bold lighting. His exposure to resin began in Mexico City with objects his grandfather made. Now, he pairs his background in architecture with his foundation in resin using his grandfather's technique. Adrian collaborates with architect Sandro Giulianelli to create furniture influenced by Renaissance Tuscan monuments. Most recently, he co-founded the design studio ACCÁ Editions with interior designer Carmen Arechiga, amplifying the use of crystalline resin alongside Mexican stones. This serves as a vital link between their Pre-Hispanic origins and the Mexicanism design aesthetic.
