FACETAS

by berto

The Tiffany Collection by Alberto Sánchez. An Ancient Technique Reinvented.
In this collection, Alberto Sánchez pays tribute to the historic Tifany technique, developed in the 19th century, reinterpreting it through a modern and functional lens. The method involves joining small pieces of glass using a delicate process of copper and tin soldering.
He immersed himself in the world of stained glass to discover and learn the traditional methods used in his craft, in order to design a collection of clearly contemporary objects.
Facetas explores the creative potential of this traditional craft, transforming it into utilitarian sculptures where geometry, light, and composition take center stage.
Each piece in the collection balances technical precision and formal sensitivity, opening a dialogue between artisanal heritage and contemporary design.
“Craft is a bridge between past and present, a reminder of the importance of humanity and creativity in an increasingly digital world.” — Alberto Sánchez
Facetas not only honors the beauty of stained glass, but reinvents its visual language to create objects that are both functional and sculptural.
“I want my pieces to speak of craft, but also of emotion. To be useful, but above all, to move people.” — Alberto Sánchez

Designer Alberto Sánchez, co-founder of the prestigious Mut Design studio, pre- sents BERTO, his new brand, as a natural extension of his creative universe: a pro- ject that explores his own language without renouncing the principles that have guided his career.
Recognized for his emotional and functional approach to design, Sánchez has built a coherent body of work where form, matter, and environment coexist in balance. His work reveals a constant obsession with geometry, understood not only as a for- mal structure but as an expressive tool capable of generating emotion, rhythm, and meaning.
BERTO is born as a platform to deepen the connection between craftsmanship and contemporary design, between tradition and innovation, between technical preci- sion and aesthetic sensitivity, marking a new chapter in his career as a solo desig- ner.
The result: a collection of unique objects that challenge the boundary between design, art, and emotion.
