Matter, form, fire

by Daiana Meligrana Studio

Matter, Form, Fire explores the silent bond between material, gesture, and time.
Rooted in the language of the everyday, the work reflects on how objects accompany us quietly, gathering our gestures, memories, and emotions.
Each piece begins in wax — a space of suspended time where matter twists, folds, and weaves, preserving the trace of touch as if holding a memory of the body.
Through fire, this gesture transforms into metal, a material that endures, carrying within it the echo of that woven inheritance and the permanence of time.

Presented at Alcova Miami 2025, the installation by Daiana Meligrana Studio brings together silver and bronze pieces that move between fragility and permanence, intimacy and contemplation — a dialogue between matter, form, and the quiet persistence of making.

DAIANA MELIGRANA (Buenos Aires, 1994)
Designer and artist. In 2022, she immersed herself in the world of contemporary jewelry, building a practice situated between art and design, with a focus on material processes and the slow rhythm of making.
With a background in visual communication, design, and the creative management of projects involving somatic and sensory practices, her approach blends aesthetic sensitivity, visual storytelling, and a way of thinking rooted in materials and hands-on processes.
Between 2023 and 2024, she took part in art clinics and artist training programs in Buenos Aires.
She currently works from her studio in Buenos Aires, in close dialogue with materials and process — at a slow and considered pace.
