Melts Like Butter
by MONICS+VIEIRA
"Melts Like Butter" draws a parallel between traditional butter making and contemporary design, where both transform raw materials into something greater through time, care, and refinement. Just as churning butter depends on rhythm, patience, and intuition, design relies on process and sensitivity, shaping ideas and materials into forms that enrich daily life and human connection. This project celebrates the meeting point between tradition and innovation, where craft and technology merge to create meaningful design for today and tomorrow. It highlights the tactile, sensory, and emotional essence of making, the moment when effort and material melt together, becoming more than the sum of their parts. The Butter Collection embodies this philosophy. Entirely dismountable, requiring minimal screws and no heavy machinery. Its assembly is intuitive, almost like solving a puzzle, inviting direct interaction between maker and object. A study in modern craftsmanship, merges minimal architectural lines with precise, refined construction. Through this process, Melts Like Butter becomes a meditation on transformation, patience, and the quiet beauty of making.
