Disguise Series 00

Disguise Series 00 explores disguise as a way of redefining the everyday.
Each piece consists of a tubular steel structure—a simple, recognizable form—dressed in a hand-sewn, spiky textile cover that transforms it into a creature.
Like a ritual, the act of dressing these pieces grants them a new identity: half furniture, half being.
The covers, with their pointed shapes, evoke natural morphogenesis—subtle variations in repetition that build an organic, almost living pattern. They invite a primal, emotional connection, akin to the instinctive bond we feel toward the small or the familiar in nature.
Disguise Series 00 is a family of forms in disguise, inhabiting space with their own unique language, like a colony of newly discovered beings.

ESTO is a creative studio that explores materials and processes, turning ideas into objects through craftsmanship and experimentation. From their workshop in Madrid, they design and build furniture, installations, scenographies, and objects where technique and formal expression come together.
