Alice Atomicus
by Studio LoopLoop
The Alice stool is developed through Studio LoopLoop’s in-house research into sustainable materials and processes. It is made from 100% recycled aluminium, coloured using a plant-based anodising technique developed in the studio. Subtle colour gradients are achieved through controlled dyeing processes. The seat is upholstered with plant-based faux fur, hand-dyed using natural pigments. Produced locally and shaped by self-sufficient methods, the project brings together material research, technical development, and making, with an emphasis on reducing reliance on industrial, petrol-based systems.
Aluminium: Hydro 100R
Faux-fur: Savian by Bio-Fluff
Plant-based dyes: NIG natural dyes
Studio LoopLoop, founded by Odin Visser and Charles Gateau in 2022, explores sustainable materials through hands-on research and in-house production. Blurring science, design, and art, they experiment with aluminium, plant-based dyeing, and technical processes, creating objects that rethink making while embedding care, curiosity, and local, self-sufficient practice at every step.
