Becoming Under Constraint
by Laura Giudice
Becoming Under Constraint brings together sculptural functional pieces in ceramics, glass, and metal. Forms emerge from the encounter between materials that resist, contain, or transform one another. Pressure, fracture, and corrosion leave visible traces on the surfaces. Rather than concealing these marks, the work allows them to remain, shaping the final form. Each piece suggests a process of becoming: a material adapting, persisting, and finding its form within constraint.
Laura Giudice is an artist and designer whose work combines ceramics, glass, and metal. She creates sculptural functional pieces exploring the relationship between form, material, and function.
