Collection

by Natalia Triantafylli & Andrew Pierce Scott

For Alcova 2026, UK-based designers Natalia Triantafylli (Greece) and Andrew Pierce Scott (USA) will present a collaborative collection of furniture, lighting, and small sculptures made out of ceramic and metal elements. The project brings together their distinct practices: Natalia Triantafylli creates ornate forms in stoneware and translucent porcelain, and Andrew Pierce Scott creates sinuous volumes welded from sheets of mild steel, blackened and waxed. Their materials meet through handmade hardware elements that function as visible ornaments, holding the works together. Ceramic branches and leaves appear to grow around steel structures, forming a living environment reminiscent of a cabinet of curiosities. Supported by the British Council, the project reflects the designers’ experience of living and working in London, a city shaped by migration, exchange, and layered cultural identities.

Natalia Triantafylli (Greece) and Andrew Pierce Scott (USA) are London-based designers and makers with a shared interest in material culture and objects that keep the hand of the maker evident. Natalia works predominantly with stoneware and porcelain, exploring themes around revivalism and ornamentation. Andrew creates pieces using sheets of mild steel: a material which at first seems rigid and cold, but upon manipulation begins to offer up its warm voice and fluid determination.
