In Situ
by Arbore x Cezar Moldovan
In Situ approaches furniture as reduced architecture: fragments of larger spatial systems condensed into objects. Stepped volumes, arches, and load-bearing forms are reassembled through proportion, repetition, and weight.
Texture takes precedence over colour; surfaces reveal themselves through light, shadow, reflection, and touch. Wood appears not as finish but as substance: with grain, density, and memory. Its surfaces shift between precision and abrasion, between controlled geometry and traces of manual intervention. These gestures echo a Zeitgeist where structure was carved from mass, extended here through contemporary tools.
Arbore was born from over three decades of manufacturing expertise. They design and manufacture collectible furniture defined by structure, proportion and light.
Cezar Moldovan is an architect and designer based in Berlin. He aims to explore alternative ways of inhabiting space that become tools for social engagement and collective transformation.
