Off-Grid Collective

Michaela Spružinová, David Valner, Mila Zila, Irena Czepcová, and Ivana Zuskinová share a background in fine art. This authorship-driven approach allows them to create design that transcends conventions and stereotypes associated with the product as such.
Where standard production reaches its limits, Off-Grid Collective finds opportunity. The artists work with intuition and inventiveness. Through their own studio practices, they are able to respond directly to the challenges of glass production and seek new solutions without losing the strength of their personal artistic voice.
They recycle hundreds of kilograms of discarded glass beads, experiment with digital technologies, or deliberately slow down processes to restore value to the material.
This is not a rejection of tradition, but its adaptation to a new reality.

Off-Grid Collective is an association of established artists and designers who have created a platform for experimenting with materials such as glass. Their work is a deeply personal statement, with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship and attention to detail. Regardless of scale, a human-centered approach and hands-on making remain the most intuitive way to approach 21st-century design.
