Porcelain Collection

by obra de mano

Porcelain Collection presents a series of pieces made in white porcelain, defined by simple geometries. In a moment of visual excess and the constant production of images and objects, the work seeks a certain quietness—forms that highlight material and shape, allowing the presence of clay to take center stage.

Obra de Mano is a ceramic studio based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where functional objects are designed and produced through a continuous process of experimentation with clay and its possibilities.

Working primarily with molds, the studio explores the possibility of producing pieces in series while preserving subtle differences between them. Small variations inherent to the handmade process ensure that no two pieces are exactly alike.
Prototypes are developed through an open process that combines manual exploration with materials such as cardboard and foam board, as well as digital modeling and 3D printing, which later translate into molds.
