Stone as Time

by Livio Delesgues

Livio Delesgues’s long experience working with India’s craft traditions formed his understanding of materials and traditional workmanship. The project ‘Stone As Time’,  brings together precise craft, clear structure, and spatial composition to explore the relationship between raw materials and architectural form.
The space presents Livio’s collection of lamps, furniture, and objects that are designed to examine stone as a material formed by pressure, sedimentation, and time. Each piece follows the internal structure of marble, its layers, fractures, and veining.
Bold color combinations energize the space, creating clear contrasts between objects while light and geometry interact so that each piece responds to the other.

Livio Delesgues is a Franco-Italian designer based in Jaipur, influenced by noble materials and Rajasthan’s craft traditions. His material-led practice studies stone’s structures, aligning form with functionality. Working across marble, brass, and precious stone, his practice is a study of the beauty of raw materials and their evolution through architectural forms.
