Studies in Poise and Structure

This installation proposes a focused exploration of how sculptural furniture can articulate space through balance, tension, and restraint. "Studies in Poise and Structure" examines the dialogue between curved, enveloping forms and the rationalist clarity of architectural geometry. A meeting point where softness is held in place by structure, and structure is softened by light and proportion.

The works operate as precise spatial gestures: forms that assert presence not through scale or theatricality, but through calibrated relationships with shadow, alignment, and material weight. Shaped not only by their contours but also by the negative space they define, they engage the viewer through subtle shifts in weight, lift, and silhouette. Together, they create a choreography of volumes that invites a heightened perception of proportion, rhythm, and pause within a room.

Elitta is a Lebanese architect and designer working between Beirut and Milan. Trained at Politecnico di Milano, she creates collectible furniture that balances sculptural softness with architectural rigor. Her work investigates proportion, material tension, and structural clarity, positioning each piece as an act of measured equilibrium.
