THE INSULATOR COLLECTION

NOVOCASTRIAN’s Insulator Lighting Collection draws inspiration from Britain’s railway heritage and the engineering language of early electrical infrastructure. The collection takes its cues from the distinctive pin insulators once suspended above the country’s railway lines, translating their stepped, sculptural geometry into a suite of pendants, sconces and table lamps.

Each piece is precision-machined from solid brass or steel and paired with pressed glass shades, combining industrial clarity with the refined symmetry of the Art Deco era. Sculptural yet functional, the lights explore the balance between utility and ornament that defined early twentieth-century design.

Every piece is made to order in NOVOCASTRIAN’s North East England workshop.
