THE QUIET RUPTURE

by Stella Arion

The Quiet Rupture, a new project by Stella Arion developed in response to Alcova, brings together ceramic sculptures within a spatial installation. Clay appears here within a multisensory setting: the sculptures are accompanied by sound and light that extend their presence in space.

Shaped by natural, social, and mechanical pressures that interrupt growth and transformation, the works suggest forms adapting to conditions they were never meant for. Referencing geological structures, architectural tensions, and bodily fragments, they avoid literal representation and create an environment where matter resists, adapts, and finds its own articulation.

Stella Arion is a London-based artist working across ceramics and spatial installation. She completed an MA in Ceramics & Glass at the Royal College of Art (2021–2023), where she was awarded the Charlotte Fraser Award. Her practice is shaped by transdisciplinary research and engagement with architectural and post-industrial environments.
