The Spoon Press is a pop-up by Caveat that brings the public into the act of making. In an age of mass consumption, production is often obscured behind packaging and polish. Here, the process is made physical and immediate. Using custom-built machines, participants shape metal themselves — engaging directly with pressure and leverage to transform a flat sheet of stainless steel into a food-safe gelato spoon, encouraged to be tested after. What is typically confined to industrial environments becomes intuitive and tactile. The project affirms that good design is not just seen — it is also made, felt, and experienced.
