The Study
by Saridis of Athens, Kiki Goti x Marble Sachanas
"The Study" is a spatial installation that reimagines the study as an intimate room for reflection and exchange, bringing together a marble furniture and lighting collection by Kiki Goti in collaboration with Marble Sachanas and hand-crafted wooden chairs by Saridis of Athens. Traditionally defined by permanence and discipline, the study is softened through curved forms, carved ornament, and a layered material palette. "Aether", Goti’s collection draws on the drapery of ancient Greek sculpture, shaping marble to hold movement within mass. Alongside, Saridis’ Klismos chairs and bronze and walnut stools both handwoven with genique leather continue a lineage that began in antiquity.
Kiki Goti is a Greek architect, designer, and educator currently based in New York City. Goti hybridizes materials and fabrication methods to explore relationships between materiality, heritage, and identity.
