Totemic
by Andrea Claire Studio
For its European and Alcova debut, Andrea Claire Studio transforms room C9 at Casa Delle Suore into an immersive installation of light. Totemic—floor-to-ceiling pendants and standing lamps with gilded, silvered and papered finishes—creates a luminous moment in the historic space. Like totems, these pieces are vessels of meaning: objects that connect people and space. Visitors move around three iconic forms—Moon, August, Sage and Diamond—each glowing and reflecting warm radiance. A new cast glass side table, introduced at Alcova, nestles among the totems. Light becomes architecture. Objects become ritual.
Founded in Brooklyn in 2011 by architect and artist Andrea Claire, Andrea Claire Studio creates customizable, scalable sculptural lighting where art, architecture, and craft meet. Rooted in slow design, each fixture is handmade, honoring materials and space to bring lasting beauty. We collaborate on residential, commercial, and hospitality projects worldwide.
