The installation brings together key elements of the studio’s practice. Georgian felt covers the walls, with
a new wall felt pattern created exclusively for Alcova. The seating and wall objects reference familiar
forms from Georgian public space and collective memory. Together, these elements form a spatial
composition that reflects the studio’s ongoing research into material, history, and everyday objects

Around the Studio is an interdisciplinary design practice founded by Tika Shelia (b.1996) and Ano Jishkariani (b.1996) in 2022. They were born and started their practice in Tbilisi, Georgia, and are now living in between  New York and Tbilisi. The studio employs a diverse range of practices, including object design, collectible furniture, spatial and architectural design, and installation.

By integrating local traditions, contemporary issues, and diverse disciplines, Around the Studio seeks to create spaces and experiences that encourage reflection, participation, and collective action.
