River Inn
437 SW 2nd St, Miami, FL 33130, USAAlcova is pleased to announce the third edition of Alcova Miami, which will open to the public from December 2 to 7, during Miami Art Week 2025. After last year’s success, the international platform will return to the picturesque Miami River Inn, the city’s oldest hotel, located in the South River Drive Historic District of East Little Havana.
Alcova Miami 2024 was met with enthusiasm both for the quality of the projects presented and the atmosphere of the venue itself. Tucked among palm trees and tropical vegetation, the Miami River Inn carves a quiet pocket of space amid the intensity of Miami Art Week, a little oasis where time seems to slow down, and open up for direct encounters in a setting that feels calm and protected. The historic location, a cluster of pastel-colored mansions built in 1908 as a Victorian boarding house, will once again host a variety of projects and site-specific installations interacting with the venue’s distinctive features.
True to Alcova’s spirit, the Miami River Inn will unfold as a spatial narrative, presenting a selection of works by forward-thinking and visionary designers who, working across a layered spatial path, will create a sequence of unexpected encounters. Design will connect each timber unit, inviting discovery and encouraging visitors to navigate the site with intuition and curiosity.
