FORMATIONS
by Jensin Okunishi Studio
Marble carries an unmistakable presence—its patterns both striking and fluid. The stone embodies strength held in motion. In this collection, that essence is tiled on the surface in simple and jagged-edged forms, veined and inlaid into open space. The designs capture the intrigue of marble itself—movement held within structure, fluid gestures disciplined by geometry, echoing the intense tension in which the stone is formed. Each motif began as a hand-drawn gesture, then evolved through a process of pushing and contraction, transforming looseness into forms that feel organic yet refined. Depth persists in the collection’s final form.
