SENSBIOM III is a playful installation of dozens of biopolymer lattices able to signal real-time changes in Milan’s solar radiation to make visitors aware of invisible threats. It proposes a future in which matter helps us reconnect with the planet using environmentally-active and eco-friendly materials derived from renewable resources.

Crafting Plastics! is an award-winning Bratislava-based design and research practice working at the intersection of material innovation, ecology, and technology. Through in-depth research into bio-based and biodegradable material systems, the studio develops responsive materials and living environments that challenge extractive production models, proposing new relationships between humans, materials, and the ecosystems they inhabit
