Set within an abandoned chapel where vows once echoed, Sten Studio summons a new ceremony. The Wedding is a sculptural installation that stages a symbolic union between complementary forces: feminine and masculine, softness and structure, intuition and form. Stone becomes the language of ritual as objects gather like silent witnesses around a moment of encounter. Elements usually fleeting—flowers, light, celebration—are translated into mineral permanence. The installation invites visitors into a scene that feels both intimate and universal. More than a collection, The Wedding reflects on permanence, suggesting that love, like stone, is shaped by time, pressure, and the quiet gravity of union.
Sten Studio is a Mexico City–based design laboratory exploring the beauty and mystery of natural phenomena through stone. Founded by Jose Schnaider, the studio creates sculptural furniture and objects that merge craftsmanship, mineral diversity, and narrative, transforming geological materials into contemporary collectible design that connects nature, ritual, and human experience.
