Alcova has redefined how contemporary design engages with historical and unconventional spaces, transforming abandoned and historical buildings into immersive exhibitions. It has activated diverse locations to showcase emerging talents, experimental projects, and research-driven design. Each edition fosters a global dialogue on sustainability, material innovation, and new production methods, creating a dynamic intersection of past and future.

After having two years bringing back to life the historic spaces of the Cova & G bakery, on the occasion of the Fuori Salone (4-12 September 2021), Alcova will open to the public another Milanese site just a few steps away from the Inganni metro station. Three historical buildings of extraordinary charm, immersed in a large urban park: approximately 3500 square meters of indoor and outdoor spaces with over 50 exhibitors including independent designers, innovative brands, galleries, cultural institutions and companies.

As for previous editions, Alcova 2021 is characterized by the variety of the ideas and themes converging in its displays, capturing a snapshot of a rapidly evolving world. Ecological, political and anthropological discourse, tales about the history of design or expressions of new exhibition currents intertwine convincingly across the many new pieces in this new edition.
